Once saving habits are in place, learning how to spend wisely is the next part of the journey. Smart Start Spending helps bring those lessons into everyday life.

 

A minimum deposit of $10 is required to open the account. No minimum balance or monthly maintenance fee required. Members ages 13–17 must open the account with a parent or legal guardian. Debit card daily purchase limit is $500. Zelle®, digital wallet, mobile banking, and debit card control features are subject to eligibility, enrollment requirements, device compatibility, and applicable terms and conditions. Transactions are subject to available funds and fraud monitoring. Overdraft Protection does not apply to Smart Start Spending accounts. Membership eligibility required. Smart Start Spending is available for youth ages 13–17 (through age 17, until their 18th birthday). Upon reaching age 18, the account will automatically transition to a SimplyFree Checking Account.
