Congratulations to Rebecca Shannon of Holyoke for winning the Paul McDonald Memorial Scholarship awarded by the Pioneer Valley Chapter of the Cooperative Credit Union Association.

On May 9, 2017 at a ceremony held at the Castle of Knights in Chicopee, Rebecca received a check for $2,000 to help with her college expenses.

Rebecca, daughter of Timothy and Tammy Shannon, is a senior at Pope Francis High School. She is currently ranked fourth in her class of 61 and has a weighted GPA of 4.29.

She has many extracurricular activities including: Class President, Captain of her varsity basketball team, varsity soccer, member of the Outdoor Adventure Club and participant in various school plays and musicals.

Rebecca is currently employed as a tutor at the Holyoke Boys and Girls Club.

Rebecca plans to attend Western New England University this fall majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
