New Hours of Operation Starting on May 21, 2018

We’ve recently announced plans to reduce our branch hours. Branches will close at 4:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; will close on Thursdays at 6:00 pm and on Fridays at 5:00 pm. The Holyoke office drive-up will now open at 8:30 am, Monday through Friday and at 9:00 am on Saturday.
For a very long time, Holyoke Credit Union has set the standard for branch hours and we were the first local financial institution to offer Sunday hours.
This reduction in branch hours will place HCU at the norm with the hours offered by all other local banks and credit unions, and though we truly regret the change in hours and the inconvenience this will cause some members, we made this change to allow us to better serve the vast majority of our members. The banking environment has changed dramatically and far more transactions occur outside of the branch. These transactions take place through multiple high-tech access devices:
Debit and ATM cards along with deposit enabled ATMs at HCU’s branches
- Credit cards
- Online banking
- Mobile banking
- ApplePay, Android Pay and Mobile Wallets
- Remote Deposit Capture
- And many more innovations yet to come
We continue to see significant growth in remote electronic transactions and now process more than 300,000 such transactions per month.
All of these high-tech devices enable 24/7/365 access to your accounts. However, these high-tech devices often require enhanced support services from HCU’s team of experts. This sophisticated support is best provided through comprehensive call center capabilities rather than in the traditional branch setting.
The reduction and normalization of the branch hours will allow HCU to redeploy resources to a comprehensive call and contact center. Starting on May 2, 2018, the call center’s hours of operation will be:
|Monday - Friday||8:00 am – 8:00 pm|
|Saturday||9:00 am – 1:00 pm|
|Sunday||10:00 am – 2:00 pm|
We value your membership at Holyoke Credit Union and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we adapt to the ever-evolving delivery of financial services.
